secret shopping
« on: July 19, 2009, 01:22:25 pm »
Hi everyone.

I was looking for a SECRET SHOPPER website to inquire into becoming a SECRET SHOPPER. Here is a nice website and I think she is LEGIT! There is actually a convention and protocol for being a SECRET SHOPPER. Thats truely bizarre. They had something in las vegas. It looks fun and something I would like to do. Has anyone ever been a SECRET SHOPER please let me know...is is worth it in terms of time vs income? Here is the site: http://www.moneymakingmommy.com/earnonline/mysteryshop/index.html

***I am not promoting the site...so don't get your panties in a bunch :bootyshake: Just curious if its fun or profitable.  Also, I think I found FC through her website? ;D ;D ;D ;D

JUST BE CAREFUL!!!!!!!!!!!!!! i just applied for a secret shopper job online. they sounded legit at first didnt ask for money like some do (they are fake) and they didnt ask for any personal info except name and address to send payment to.
Well they offered me a job and i rec'd a check on sat for $2900!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! THE CHECK LOOK FAKE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
They want me to cash it and send $2700 to someone else via western union. DONT DO THESE THEY ARE SCAMS>
you cash the check and send the money via wester union to another secret shopper supposedly investigating complaints against western union. than you find out the check you just cashed is fake or drawn on a closed or non existing acct and you are now out for the money!!!
I am turning the check over to my local police dept.

money laundering much?  :sad1:
i put an ad on craig's list to showcase my resume
and interior design services, and the only thing i
got in my inbox was about a hundred emails about
this exact same thing.

we'll send you $500... you cash it and send someone
$300 of it and keep the rest for yourself.

riiight. i'll get right on that.

I haven't actually done much it yet, partly because from what little poking around I'd done in the past, I thought there weren't any secret-shopper opportunities where I live. Turns out that's not true. Somebody on another forum posted a link to the Mystery Shopping Providers Association, which lets you search by location; you do then have to sign up on other sites to actually carry out the jobs, but it's all free. ath Power, Beyond Hello, and Reality Check are all places that pay you for shops, and while I haven't actually done it yet, it looks like a really easy way to earn some extra money.

My sister Mystery shops in New Hampshire. There are reputable companies out there. You just have to look.

They do have secret shoppers that come in to places of work, we have them. But you have to be careful this day and age, if you get an email, saying you have been selected and you did not apply, there is something wrong, their are alot of scam artists out there from other countries, trying to get you to wire money through western union, do not do it!! It is a scam.
