Yeah, I think we get more calls from telemarketers than we do normal calls.  Thank God for the "Block List," LOL.

We don't have a land line phone, and with my cell I don't answer for numbers I don't recognize. So basically if you're not in my contacts list, you're out of luck. lol

yes I have some company called Bank Card Services that wants you to lower your interest rate, its an automated call, and if you press a number to talk to them, they either swear at you, or hangup and block you from calling them

I get 1-2 a day from these people, all different numbers, do not call does not stop them

Yes, I do.  I had to change my number because I gave my number to my cousin and the court system called me, first on my house phone and then on my cellphone looking for a woman with a different name.  Even after telling them I didn't know this person, they still called my cellphone. I had a phone call from a church member who told me someone was registering their child into the Head Start program and gave my number as hers.  I have since disconnected my home phone and still get a lot of calls from people I have no clue about.  The Health Department called me last week about a child's appointment, but I don't know who owned my cellphone before I did.  While I understand that people don't change their numbers, it is a bit annoying, to tell you the truth.

The only time I answer my phone is when I know who's calling AND I am ready and feel like talking.  I get a few calls a day, usually, from telemarketers and I ignore them.  Then I delete the number.  My poor husband gets numerous calls every day from those pesky callers.  Unfortunately, he doesn't have the luxury like I do to ignore those calls all the time since his is a business phone.  I really do wish there was a true way to stop those annoying calls.

i get a few..not many thoough..go to donotcall.gov and register your phone..can register up to 3 phones per email.

I get me, but I just ignore them If someone is not on my contact list or I know someone will be calling back on something I have talked to them about , it is sorry Charlie.

I actually wish there was a completely full proof way to have them stopped and charged for making calls to people who do not want them. I thought I included my home number on the list, but this apparently doesn't stop a good portion of calls - including charities galore among other things.

Don't get these anymore, but I used to. I found a good way to deal with them is to tell them the person they asked for is in another room and I will go get them... so I put the receiver down and go about my business, eventually they hang up and after this happens a few times they stop calling... if you have time and want to have so fun, start complaining about some imagined illness you have or a made up family problem, just keep talking about it no matter what they say, eventually they will hang up on you!
