I have a husband that is over protective how should I handle him?

Technically, there is nothing wrong with being over-protective, unless your hubby has taken it too far.  Sit him down and talk to him.  My hubby is over-protective, but, since he is the provider, it is his job to protect us.

Try to look on the positive side-- it means you are loved and cherished.  Perhaps it makes you feel somewhat smothered-- try to talk with him about one or two of his practices that are the most annoying to you (but not all of them at once).  My late husband was very protective of me and a few things I thought were just cute.  for example, when we went to a shopping mall (he hated shopping, like a lot of husbands), while I went into a store he would sit out in the mall where he could see into the store to make sure I was safe.  One time I left the store when he was people-watching and didn't see me leave.  A few stores later down the mall I looked back and the frantic expression on his face was priceless.
