Live and let live, unless they're trying to kill you for not being like one of them.

repeal Obamacare, counter act practically all Obama's 'executive orders' that are clearly beyond the scope of his office as President, complete the fence on the Mexican border, deport ALL illegal aliens, pass legislation that clarifies the status of US citizenship, tie all foreign aid to affirmative pro US actions of the recipient nation, cease entering armed conflicts that we have no intention of winning, eliminate the IRS and replace it with a simplified flat tax, deny government benefits to any and all non-US citizens (if they cannot support themselves get them out of the country), drug test EVERY person that receives government payments regardless of social or professional status, make ALL US agency regulations to review by the US House of Representatives, actively support and promote free market economies in foreign nations especially those that receive US foreign aid, etc.

I agree with you to an extent. We need to set up better border patrols and take better charge of who enters the country and where they are for their duration of the stay. Also making sure that they leave when they're visa expires. Although, I don't believe that we should deport the children that have grown up here from a very young age. The ones that know nothing of where they come from and have gotten all their education here.

Other things that we should to in order to make this country better is to stop interfering with other countries problems. We have our own problems to worry about. We need to fix our unemployment rate, our healthcare system, and our debt. We shouldn't be helping others when we can't even help ourselves.

This might be somewhat true, however I would like to know just how one would do this. Fire arms are practically ancient technology, they can be manufactured in any decently equipped machine shop or even a hobbyist's basement. That said, those that want them will always have a source for them, so I don't see how having a gun free world is anything but a dream, just ain't gonna happen... and the times before fire arms were pretty violent as I recall my history... would you rather be hacked to death with a rusty axe or shot...? Neither would be my choice but I would like the ability to defend myself from either... just my thoughts

I have no clue how anyone would go about ridding the world of guns.  That is an impossible dream and I want to be able to defend myself.
This country would be a much better place if the lazy bums would get off the dole and go back to work so the ones working could keep most of what they make instead of supporting the lazy bums.

I definitely wouldn't agree with this. If people would stop forcing their opinions and beliefs on other people, then the world might be better. Not everyone believes in a god. Not everyone loves their country. If the country was worth loving, obviously there would be more patriotism. If religions were believable to everyone, then everyone would believe in them. "God" and patriotism are not the answers. Conformity is not an answer. Making the world a safe and socially accepting place are answers.

Hey Silent, your last line says,"making the world a safer place."

I was wondering, where have you been for the last 6000 years of mans existence? How many more years of chaos, greed, suffering etc do you need to see......

Eccl 8:9 Man has dominated himself to his own injury

Making the world a safer place has nothing to do with religion. The reason there's so many problems with things like that is because of bad education and bad economies. Religion is not something that needs to be forced upon people for the world to be safer. Teaching children from a young age that ALL people, regardless or religion, skin color, gender, political beliefs, sexuality, etc., are people will the same rights as everyone else. People justify their actions because too many people normalize racism, sexism, homophobia, and the like. Even religious groups often contribute to that.

If you want religious references for helping make the world better, Matthew 7 completely supports what I said.

"Do not judge, or you too will be judged. For in the same way you judge others, you will be judged, and with the measure you use it, it will be measured to you."

Regardless of the fact that I'm an atheist, I just quoted a Bible passage. I respect all religions. I respect all people as long as they do not disrespect the rights and beliefs of others. That is the type of attitude that we need to teach and accept in order to have a world where everyone can live happily and safely.

We need to stop judging people for being different. If we were a more accepting society, the world would be a better and safer place. I stand by that 100 percent.

A landlord gets to decide the rules of his house...no smoking...no pets etc.....

I believe an invisible Creator <True God> named Jehovah or if you prefer Yahweh created the earth for it to be the home of mankind.Obviously there was rebellion and his creation had a setback. But the name Jehovah means,he causes to become."It will happen. And God will set the rules for conditions here FOREVER with NEVER anymore crap that satan and disobedient mankind have caused.

If you are an atheist thats your decision. If you wanna hope mankind will straighten this mess out thats also your decision.I just pointed out to you how long is enuff? And used bible to back up what i said.

Trust me,i know MANY do not wanna be accoutable to a higher power. Its obvious with the results of the world for God allowing satan and man to attempt to rule themselves.

If you are happy with the results and happy to live your 70-80 years and die....again....your decision....

Im not!!
