I have no plans for the memorial day weekend and hope my brother-in-law grills some ribs.

My plans for the Memorial Day weekend are just one: attending the Indy 500 which I have been doing since the late 40's so I have seen a lot of them.  I did miss the one in 1972 and I also missed one that was rained out twice and I just couldn't get back on the third day.  I don't remember what year that was.  One of these days I won't be able to make it but I'll be there this year.

I think I'm going to go to my grandpa's grave. At least my mom mentioned it. I haven't been there in a year so I'd like to go. After that I don't think we really have anything planned.

Parents are coming up to visit, probably do some grilling. Work on the yard and have a few adult beverages.

My hubby picked out a pack of ribs while we were shopping at Wal-Mart last week.  I will find out if he is barbecuing on the grill or I have to cook them in the oven.  I picked up three bottles of Open Pit Honey Barbecue Sauce because I plan to have ribs on the 4th of July and Labor Day, which is before my 56th birthday.   :highfive: :rainbow: :rose:

My friends and family take turns hosting Memorial Day barbeques each year. This year, it's my turn, and I'm really looking forward to it. It should be great.

We are going to my Mom's. My father passed away April 27 and we are still trying to help Mom get everything taken care of. During the day my hubby is going to help my brother who is doing some remodeling and then in the evening he will come to Mom's (I think my brother is too) and we will have a cookout and visit.

Ready to spend my day off tomorrow floating on the river. Can't wait to get in the water. I hope it is not cold. Temps are ing to be in the high 80s, so it should feel good.

Starting today(Saturday), We are taking the kids over to their grand parents' place so they can swim at the pool. It is always an event to look forward to because they usually open their pool for memorial day weekend every year. Probably do a little shopping with them and have a family BBQ for Monday. Until then hope you all  have a great memorial day weekend and be safe out there. 1 love !

My memorial day weekend will be quiet.  I am not planning on doing anything.  My daughter lives out of town so won't have any family here.

We have been doing yard work and repairs around the yard this weekend. My husband did take me out for breakfast this morning.
