What remedies are best for a sore/scratchy throat?

Lemon & honey.  Mix a batch ... take tablespoon as needed.  2/3 honey & 1/3 lemon or a tad more if you can take the sour.  Also, I gargle with warm salt water.

That's a good one! I'll have to remember it.  I think ginger is also good to break up congestion.  Great idea!

All of the above remedies are awesome and effective.  Might I add another suggestion:  put the cell phone away and do little to no talking.  When I don't feel good, I do very little talking and that seems to keep things at bay.

Try mixing 1 tea of honey and 1 tea of vinegar and a tea of lemon.. Also gargle with salt water..

I use a tablespoon of baking soda in a 8oz. glass of water and drink it and it immediately goes away. I learned that on Dr. Oz. show.

If your throat hurts from allergies. Use a tablespoon of children's liquid Benadryl. Gargle and swallow don't drink after for at least 30 mins.
