I have loved driving since I was twelve years old.  Last year my daughter got her driver's license after completing one hundred and fifty hours of day driving and thirty hours of evening driving-three times what she was required to accomplish.  I have taught her to be an excellent driver.  My son began his driving in February and is on track to have even more hours in than my daughter did.  He is much more aggressive and tests my patience because he doesn't have full control yet nor does he pay attention to his peripherals as much.  He'll end up being an excellent driver in a year as long as he is not distracted.

The same for me, the older I get the less I have been driving, I just can't see as well anymore and I get nervous.

When I first started driving, I loved it and wanted to drive everywhere.  Over the years I became used to my husband doing all the driving when we went out of town and enjoyed just being "chauffeured".  After he passed away, I knew I needed to step up to the plate in a lot of areas, which included regaining my willingness to be independent with long distance transportation.  I am pleased with my progress in a short amount of time and no longer dread the auto travel responsibilities.

the older i get the less i like to drive.. I do not like driving as a passenger with some people. I admire good drivers. I like when I have a good driver to drive me places.. I find the automobile expenses to be a huge drag as well.

I enjoy driving even though I don't drive very often.  I don't own a vehicle; however, I rent a car when I have a reason to leave town.

I don't enjoy driving if I'm dealing with heavy traffic or I'm driving in an unfamiliar city.
Have a great day!

I love to be the driver!  I want to be in control!  It makes me nervous to be a passenger especially when my husband drives!  He drives too slow and likes to stay too close to the edge of the road!!!!
Have a wonderful day!

i too just like to go to the places i  need to go to and get home---my son is old enough now to drive so i send him now i just hate going any where these days --i wish i could afford a chauffeur !!  lol
Ditto on the chauffeur idea!  It would be great to have someone else drive you everywhere you want to go, to keep your car sparkling clean, have it serviced, etc.  Unfortunately, that is quite beyond my pay grade.

I drive because I have to not because I want to.
I much prefer to be a passenger
I am a grateful I have a car and can drive when I need to. However I would still prefer to go along for a ride. :rainbow: :rose: :peace:

I love to drive.  I can get in the car and go anywhere I want too.  I just bought a new car last July and it drives better and rides better than anything I have ever had.  It is a 2012 Nissan Altima.  It only had 14,000 on it when I bought it.  I am driving to Nashville today to take my grandson to the dr.  Hope everyone has a good day and may God bless each of you and keep you safe.

Most of the time I prefer to drive.  If it's a long trip, then I do like to share the driving.
