a friend of mine is a farmer in New Hampshire. Her aunt lives in Florida.

When she was going to make the major move, a few things happened up in New Hampshire  (flood in the New Hampshire house; she contracted Lyme's Disease).

Sometimes, our plans are postponed indefinitely.

I get a little perturbed when little plans change. Like when I am at work and my wife offers to take the family out to dinner that night and even specify's a particular restaurant.  In the back of my mind I am thinking about what I am going to order...all day long because it is such a rare treat for us to break our money saving habits. And then, five minutes before I am to leave work, she will decide that we will have dinner at home! This happens at least once every two weeks and, even though I tell her, she doesn't seem to remember the effect this has on me.

Oh yes.  I have had plans change in a split second.  Two very serious things have happened to me in the past year that made my world turn upside down and every plan had to change.
