On Mother's Day, I usually go visit mom and my other siblings would come as well. We would have lunch/dinner and just relax and talk since we live so far apart. But it's like Christmas for her!!

My mom passed 18 years ago this month and my grandmother passed nearly 25 years ago.  My hubby will take me out to dinner.  Usually, I buy a Chinese dinner, but my cousin just opened up a restaurant and I think I will go by there and pick up a plate.   :rainbow:

I love spending time with my family on Mother's Day, it doesn't matter what we do as long as we are together.

I still have my mother (praise the Lord). We are a family of 8. Most of the now married sons/daughters live in the same city. I live in a different city. We all get together, or most of us do, for a BBQ and mother's day cake. I am so blessed to come from a large family.

Back home in my country. We called it Mother Mary Magdallen so  we have to go to church and pray. I came here and learned that it was for mothers day to every mothers. Or maybe I was misunderstood. But yeah back home we have to go church to pray to Mother Mary..

I understand that any anniversary of someone death can be hard to deal with. I can only pray this will get easier for you as time heals all wounds. My parents are both gone and now mothers day is just another day to thank other ladies in my life right after church since it falls on Sunday.

Aggie49 I'm sorry to hear of your mom's passing. I know it makes it difficult on Mother's Day.  My mom is still living but in poor health, my father passed away many years ago.  On Mother's Day my whole family spends time with my mom, prepares a nice dinner for her and just enjoys her presence.  :(

My mother passed away 10 years ago so I always make sure to get to the cemetery to take her flowers!

My Mom passed away 12 years ago and I still miss her. We usually get together with the family but with one Mom in a nursing home we're just going to go visit her.
