What is your definition of success?

What does success mean in your term? (Think about it)

To me success is not measured by materialistic things that you achieved in life nor the promotion you get on your job, but the FAMILY that you raised up to be not only great citizens, but help create a better world for tomorrow. In other words, if I fail and neglect my responsibilities to my family and children(teaching them to be self reliant), what kind of community, country, or world are we going to have in the future? When the FAMILY is taken care of first, we won't have any more crimes, people living on streets, etc. etc. that is my definition of success!

Does that mean that someone who chooses not to or can't have children is unsuccessful? I think not. Success varies from person to person. It's personal goals that you set for yourself and when you achieve them (no matter how big or small), you're successful. If someone planned to rob a bank and did so without getting caught then that would be considered success on their part. If the plan was to get that promotion then that's success as well. It can be anything as long as it's achieved.

To me success is having unconditional love; and, doing what you love to do and getting paid for it!

Success to me is accomplishing a goal that you've worked hard for and being focused on goals. It also means being a go-getter to get what you want.

Success is living a happy life with my family, with our needs being met - shelter, food, clothing - and having God as part of that life.

Success for me is measured in the friends I have, having a happy family, being fulfilled by the little things.  Not having to depend on anyone, being well off and traveling when I want and for as long as I want.

I am not kidding.....getting a good nights sleep and feeling good the next day.Id like to quote some lyrics from a Ray Thomas song he wrote on The Moody Blues album Every good boy deserves favor.The song was called "Our guessing game"....

Success to me is being happy.  If you are happy that means things are going well in your life and for those around you.
