I live next to a train station.... It's good for my college commute since it will drop me off from a major penn station point...

The noise is alright, you get use to it when they blow the horns.... I think living next to airport is worst, cannot stand hearing airplanes taking off daily

Not only do we live near an airport but we also live close to a military base.  You get used to it after awhile

Airplanes go over my house sometimes. There is a major airport a little ways south of me.
I grew up in San Diego, so the noise doesn't bother me.
If I lived near a major interstate though I think the constant humm of cars and honks of big trucks would drive me crazy.
I think living near a train track would be absurd too.

I used to live a couple of blocks from busy train tracks. After a while you get used to it and even find it relaxing.

We live on the Ohio River that has a lot of barge traffic as well as by CSX Railroad that is a major railway transportation hub.  So, we have a lot of noise.  You can hear the barge whistles very clear at night.

Thankfully, I live in the country where it's very quiet and peaceful.  The only sound I hear are the birds singing.

I live/work near a major airport and I'm used to the noise and traffic now, and it doesn't bother me. When I first moved to this area, it was kinda hard because I couldn't sleep or even relax outside without all of that noise. But the  perk is that I'm close to the airport when I need to travel.

No, I live out in the country where it is nice and peaceful. I would not like living in a busy area and having to cope with the noise and traffic.

I live down the block from a train station, a firehouse, and ambulance depot and around the corner from a police station. The noise has gotten worse in the last ten years and it does drive me crazy.
