What do you do to kick off your spring cleaning?
I usually start with steam cleaning (:
Yes it's a kick in the butt but it's well worth the outcome
I don't think your suppost to but i always put some cleaner down in the water
Makes it smell that much fresher :p

I start by going through each room and removing the obvious trash and things I don't use anymore. Then I start with the kitchen, remove everything from it and scrub the walls. I scrub the items as I put them back in.

I'm starting to clear out the things I don't use or need any more and donate or recycle them.

I start off by putting stuff in storage and then clean all thefurniture and everything out of one room. Then I will wash all walls and ceiling then paint every room again. The bathroom is the only room I change color. Other rooms all stay same color for 2 years then I paint them. I LOVE spring and fall cleaning! :in-love: :)  :rainbow:

BOY,  some of you guys really get into it!  I take one room every week and tear it apart really give it a thorough cleaning, then I don't usually do a spring or fall cleaning.  I do usually get the carpets cleaned in the spring and fall.  The rest of the time I just clean pretty much daily so that it does not get ahead of me.  Pick up junk every night before I go to bed, start the dishwasher.  Then I don't have to wake up to a mess.  We have 2 bathrooms and a powder room, they all get scrubbed down weekly.

I hate spring cleaning, but it must be done. I start from the top, and go thru the entire house getting all cobwebs and dust bunnies off the ceilings and all the corners , ceiling fans too. Then I go ahead and start room by room, moving furniture as well. It is just a fact of life around here!

I have never really followed the spring cleaning philosophy. I dont really change out decor season to season and just continue to clean as I would anytime of year. Presently my house is on the market so it must be kept very clean and straight in case it shows. It is a pain not to be able to "live" in one's house.

I use to take a week's vacation each year to do my spring cleaning.  Now I've decided to save it for retirement!  I did stock up on cleaning supplies yesterday with my BzzAgent coupons.  I save 73% with my coupons!!  Now to do my reports.....
Have a wonderful day!

Usually i take the vacuum and the long duster i have to the walls of the living & dinning room. so if there's anything left of dust it will fall on everything else then go to down with vacuuming & dusting everything after that to ensure i get most or all of the it. After that one room at a time. Kitchens always clean so no need to do that lol

Usually I start my spring cleaning in May. I choose this month because the weather is warmer and also put away my winter clothing.

Everyone's getting so much done!

I have made a list of things that need to get done in the house, spring or not. The place is kind of a wreck!

Rug Doctor!!!
New carpet or tile in the living room
Grout cleaning in the kitchen
Repaint all the walls
Slipcovers for the furniture in the living room
Throwing and giving things away; tidying
Dusting
Vacuuming
Scrubbing pretty much everywhere!

I get dizzy if I think of all that needs to be done!! lol  :P
