Cheating on our diets
« on: April 03, 2014, 09:54:51 am »
How do u feel when you eat something that is
Not on your diet  program. Well, for me, I've cheated
A few times and feel ok if I know I am going to
Exercise,  but bad if I just cheat. The other side of
That,  is I crave carbs, so sometimes I feel deprived
Although I am losing weight because I don't eat the carbs
Or sugar unless I cheat.

We can' t win for losing? Lol ???

I don't know why but when I saw the title I remembered I have ice cream. lol

If I had stuck with the diet I started 2 months ago I would be about 10 or more pounds lighter.  I had lost some weight but then when I couldn't find a job and there is no money I got frustrated and gave up.

I have cheated but,I do not want to give up. My blood pressure
Numbers have been great. So I have to get back on track and
keep going, the positives outweigh all of my negatives. It's not
Gonna be easy.

Good luck on losing weight.  When you cheat on your diet, always remember you can start over.

I always cheat on my diet.  It makes life worth living.  Keep in mind though, you're just cheating yourself.

I can eat without any consequences (other than killing my body internally)... High metabolism is a wonder sometimes

I don't know, I don't struggle with weight issues, but my husband does and has for a very long time. It seems like as soon as he 'cheats' it's more like an avalanche follows for about 5 months!  I don't know the answer, but it's frustrating to watch!

It's hard not to cheat on a diet around the holidays. This past week with Easter, I have been eating things I shouldn't be. But they taste so good. I mainly cheat on the holidays.

That's the reason I don't "diet" - that way I never feel guilty for cheating on one.  I generally eat healthy anyway, and have always been active which has naturally kept my weight in check - so the occasional holiday splurge would have little effect on me.  Also, I never was a huge one for sweets, which I know helped a lot.

I feel more guilty when I skip a workout due to just "not feeling like it" - but I'm calling myself more on those days to at least do a little something, maybe not my whole workout, as something is better than nothing.

I think sometimes you have to "cheat" sometimes  keep your sanity. Plus live is birthday parties, wedding, dinner out and vacations.
You just have  get back on the next day.(sometimes easier said than done.!)
