there are so many people in the world who talk about God from so many different perspectives that it confuses the average person as to who God is

i know because i used to be one of those people

i had my preconceived notions on who God was what He wanted and how i was going to get to Him

eventually that led me to my greatest misconception

there is no God

the funny thing is that now i really dont believe that anyone believes that but that all people know there is a God but the "intelligent" ones just dont want to publicly admit it because it tends to weakness in a "wise" society

but there was one thing that i couldnt fight

i couldnt fight God

i believe also that the majority of people here God at many points in their life

but we exercise our pride to fend Him off

why do we do this?

becasue society tells us that God isnt real

or

society tells us that everybody has their own way of doing it

does God let people make up how HE is going to do things

would an almighty creator and master of all the universe let us decide how He does things (in other words would God let us choose how to get to heaven)

this makes no sense but that is what the majority of the world really teaches whether we want to believe it or not

and believe it or not i am including "christians" in this majority

granted i have met many "christians" who seem like good enough people

but to tell you the truth only about 1% of those "christians" could really describe God to me beyond Hes gracious and He sent Jesus to die for us

now i do believe that that is all that is really needed to be known to gain favor with God period

we can never gain favor with God any other way except throughh Christ

so what then makes the difference

well there was one person who kind of provoked me

this guy named ralph at the venice beach bible tabernacle just sat and listened to all my arguments on why the bible was a false lie made up by nomadic peyote poppin hippies and that it was so full of contradictions that it just couldnt be real

funny thing is that i didnt know that for real

i was just saying what everybody else said

and thats the number one reason

how can you know God without knowing anything about Him

and its not about knowledge, in the human sense, but rather it is about listening to God and letting His Word tell you the truth about Him instead of letting man indoctrinate you with either religion or atheism

both religion and atheism come from the same place

pride

atheism has the there is no God pride and religion has the i can make it to God on my own pride

its all about Him

He wins everytime

im glad about that and now that i know Him i can say with confidence that He is the biggest reason

  People believe whatever they want to believe! Some people believe the earth is round...while others think it is flat...so who is right? Yes, Virginia! There is a Santa Claus! At least there was one in history and others still follow his examples by imitating him. While others think it is all a big commercial lie. God exists...The only problem is: Where is He? Who is He?
