are nearly always inaccurate. The digital ones are unreliable as well.

They are usually close, so you can get an idea of how much you weigh.

Most of mine have always been pretty much right.  You can put a 5lb bag of flour on there to see.  It's like the ones at the doctor office.  People get mad and say they weigh you too heavy.  No you weigh what you weigh.
Those scales are calibrated so they are in fact correct.  Even if the numbers make us sad. lol

Just be sure to take off your shoes and all of your clothes before you weigh, especially at the doctor's
office. That's why they're so inaccurate for you.  ::)

No, not really.

I am thinking weighing nakey at the docs office would be frowned upon.  Esp sincethat part is done out in front of other people.  Geez that thought scares me a little. lol

I always wear the same light weight shoes and clothes , also make sure I am not weighing my coat and purse. So far seems alright. I have been slowly losing weight and it has helped with my blood pressure. But never more then 1/2 lb. a month. So it a pleasure too see it on the scales.

They really are! It also depends on what time of the day you weigh yourself, but the scale is not your friend!!! lol

I see that most people take off at least 3 pounds before weighing.  We have a scale in the house, and notices that it is always moved from zero.  The trick is to take off all your clothes at the doctor's office, but they do give you some type of covering so you don't feel so self-cautious. ??? ??? ??? :rainbow:

I think they're pretty accurate, you just need to weigh yourself at the same time of day every time you weigh yourself.  That way you'll be able to accurately see if you're losing/gaining/maintaining weight.  Throughout the day you can easily fluctuate 5lbs!  I never go by what the Dr's office scale says and just stick with my scale at home.

If you always use the same scales to weight yourself, a few pounds off won't matter.  It shows whether you have gained, loss or stayed the same.
