anyone else in here pregnant?
« on: July 11, 2009, 11:32:53 am »
So I'm 22 weeks pregnant, due in November, just wondering if anyone else in here is pregnant and wants to share how things are going.
Personally, I am doing great, waiting till we deliver to find out the gender.  I've had an early miscarriage and a late miscarriage in the past, so open to talking to anyone if it helps them, or to hear other's stories as it is always encouraging to hear others who have had healthy babies after prior loss.

Anything else people want to share regarding pregnancy - it's pretty much my main topic of interest in my life at the moment....

I myself have been through the same thing in the past. I have actually had 4 miscarriages. But I guess that everything happens for a reason.
But I am happy for you and send you congrats!!
Such a beautiful blessing.

Not pregnant yet but trying.  We have been trying for almost 2 years now.  I don't know if there is a problem or not.  It took us a year and half to get our son.  He is our little beach bum.  He was conceived on our vacation 5 years ago.  We are going back this year in August.  We are keeping our fingers crossed.  Maybe the beach will bring us luck again.

aww, congrats  :)
i think its so cool that you're waiting to be gender-surprised!
my parents did the same thing when they had me.

no kiddies here, but i'd love to adopt someday.
have you picked out names yet? i'm so indecisive.
i don't think i'd be able to choose until it came right down
to the last minute! hehe.

Maybe the beach will bring us luck again.

i've had some family members and even a few friends
who've conceived while on vacation/the beach.
they swear that the beach makes you a fertile myrtle!
maybe something to do with the moon &tide and all that
nature, horoscopey stuff?
[ we all have a place in history. mine is in the clouds. ]

Such a beautiful blessing.

thank you, and i am sorry for your losses, i understand the challenges in overcoming this, i would like to send some encouragement, for my husband and i our strength has come from the Lord, we have stood by each other and clung to Jesus and really just trust Him, as you said things happen for a reason, and often we do not understand them, but one thing i hang onto is that compared to eternity this life is but a vapor, here today and gone tomorrow, and the joy of what is to come is far greater than any of the trials of this earth, i hope you have the strength to look to God, i would love to share some scripture with you if you are interested, please let me know.

i don't know what the doctors concluded for you, but i do know that God is the author of life, and the great physician, and if He decides to turn the tables He can do that for you, it's a personal subject matter, i don't know if you want to say any more than you have, but regardless i hope all the best for your family, with or without biological children----there are many children out there who need love and care - whether in a foster/adoptive setting or just by being the fun neighbors who are willing to hand them a glass of lemonade.

good luck to you, let me know if you want to talk.
 ;D

i wish you well! try not to try- just don't prevent it, enjoy the spontaneity of intimacy!  there's all kinds of tips and things to enhance your chances, but i think the best thing is to just be natural with each other and if it's going to happen it will be that much more special for letting it come in it's own timing.  let us know when the lucky day comes, when you are ready to share!

we have a bunch of name ideas, but we will have to see the little one and see what name seems to click for him or her :)

if you have it in your heart, you should consider foster care, so many children need love and care, and often times adoption comes through this- when you go through the social services of your county, they assist with all the procedures and costs :)
