Workouts
« on: March 15, 2014, 11:31:04 am »
Did you workout today? I did! I burned 250 calories on the treadmill, I did about 60 pushups, and about 150 situps. I feel a little lighter. I feel good!

I do the normal type of working out that you mentioned but I also use a 'rebounder'.  Its a mini trampoline and it has been determined that it is the best possible workout for your health.

I think that I would die trying to do that many push ups and sit ups. lol I used to never miss a workout but really dropped the ball in the past couple years for several reasons. :-X :-\ Kudos to you guys! Hopefully I'll start back up sooner or later... The trampoline idea sounds fun, and I've been wanting a jumping rope. :rainbow: :)

Way to go! That is quite the burn! I have been working double shifts for the last three weeks so all of my energy has been spent on working and trying to get six hours of sleep.  I set a goal of working with weights three times a month and getting a cardiovascular workout in at least three times a month which is, generally speaking, about all of the time that I can spare in between kid's sports, working three jobs, kid's school and side responsibilities that come up, seemingly, on a weekly basis.  No complaints...if it doesn't kill you it only makes you stronger ! When I do get in to work out I generally pay for it for two day s in pain!

I don't know how on earth you did 60 pushups! I'm good for about 3 of those. I go running for 2 1/2 miles every day in the spring for exercise. I don't lose weight from doing it, but it keeps my body toned and my heart in strong condition plus you just feel good afterwards for the rest of the day.

I walk 5 or 6 days a week...outside when its nice or at the gym when it isn't.  Walked 4 miles yesterday on the park trails.  I felt lighter too.

I haven't done a so-called workout in years. I have been trying to go walking everyday, though. Since I am visiting another state, I am tourist walking. I have another museum trip planned for today. Hope to learn more about the towns role in the Civil War.

I workout almost every day. Yesterday I ran a few miles and did a 30 minute workout of squats and dead lifts.

I hope that you are still keeping up with your exercise regime? I started three weeks ago and have bee working out six times per week since.  I weightlift on Sundays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays while I alternate with thirty two minutes of cardiovascular on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays.  I work two full time jobs (and several side pursuits) and getting time for a work out is extremely difficult...staying motivated is even tougher.  But I found that my usually happy way of dealing with things wasn't quite there.  I decided to sleep only five to six hours a night and am able to still function and get my workout in...and I am getting thinner and happier!

That's awesome! I used to exercise everyday, but I exercise 4 or 5 times per week now. Yesterday, I burned 230 calories on my treadmill and did 30 situps.
