Well, the death of MJ was unexpected but the news coverage has been a little ridiculous. Personally I think Obama getting elected is bigger since he's the first black president.

It looked liked the economy was starting to pick up but, now....I'm not sure where we are heading. Obama is spending money like we are super RICH! We are now over a TRILLION (that's a lot of zero's) in debt. Who is going to pay all that back? You know who is, and that is just plain stupid-WE ARE!

I don't mean to sound obnoxious or anything, but I think it's more appropriate to refer to him as the first half-black or first mixed race president, which is what he actually is. I'm sorry if it sounds pretentious or anything, but it's just that, being multi-racial myself, it bothers me the way people assign racial labels by looks/skin colour.
