Writing a book: Need some thoughts...
« on: March 09, 2014, 01:31:09 pm »
Hi all! I am going to be writing a self published book and would like some thoughts. Let me know if some of the topics I might write about intrigues you:

1. Hidden secrets from my past: (An all tell book on me and my child hood from having a child at such a young age and not telling the "father" who raised my son that he was not the biological father until he found out accidentally by the time my son was six years old. I am 41 now. (He was enemies with my sons bio dad & his bio dad killed himself at age 18) dun..dun...dun...LOL)

2. Monogamy vs. Polygamy (self explanatory...lol)

3. Searching for your Spirit Guide (An inner healing spiritual book)

4. Raising a child with ADHD (24 yr old vs 7 yr old)

5. Starting over with child baring (I have 2 boys, 17 yrs apart)

6. Finding Faith again (A book about finding my belonging again in the Catholic Church)

I have many others I can right about but if any interest you or you may think of something on your own, please let me know your suggestions. I've been wanting to do this for a long time now but was hesitant. I think I am ready now and can see this happening! Thank you and God bless you all!

I'd say do what you know best and have the most material for.  I'm planning an autobiography myself and am building a website about my spiritual journey.  Telling a story that could help and inspire others is always good since you never know who you might reach.

I agree with CharmedPhoenix about writing about what you most have material for; what you're knowledgeable about, can put a fresh spin on, etc. Life stories books seem to sell well as readers are always interested in someone's trials and tribulations (and the way in which they overcame them). Memoirs can probably be therapeutic to write and good sellers. One example of a memoir I was impressed with is Driving With Dead People by Monica Holloway. Write what you know and is close to home and what can provide some insight to the reader. :) So far I like best your first idea. Let us know how it goes! :peace: :star:

Any of those topics will work as long as there is a market for what you're writing - and it appears like there is. What interest people here on Fusion Cash isn't really relevant because your market has to be bigger than Fusion Cash - if you know what I mean.

Good luck to you though! :)
