We have a TV for watching DVD's, but we don't get any TV stations, so we don't watch regular TV. I have a computer, but I don't follow the news much.

You have the internet, it has much more information regarding the missing plane & Russia than the Television.  It's all over the internet, msn, yahoo, bing, etc...

We have 3 tvs but we do not get network nor premium channels.  We use our TV's for DVDs & VHSs as well as playstation, wii, etc.  Ever since everything went digital and you no longer were able to pick up analog signals with an antenna.  I miss the days of free tv!  I do watch some things on my computer but do not have any paid subscription services.  I may look at getting Net Flicks since I have a wii.

Besides a few select tv shows, I generally don't watch tv.  I tend to do things online or play games, so I don't really need TV in general.  Even the shows I watch are mostly reruns so if I didn't have the TV, I'd have probably bought the DVDs by now.

I have a few friends who don't watch TV during the week, only on weekends.  But I think it is more of a time thing than anything against TV.

My oldest daughter dosen't watch tv, or at least not very much.  It started in college when there wasn't much time between classes, study and church.  Now that she is married and they recently moved into a nice new apt.
They didn't even bother to get a tv.  They are totally fine without it.  :)

I don't have a TV.
And, I find "some" taped TV shows on the computer.
I like movies.
I do spend a lot of time online. ....just as much as  a TV watcher.
I do read and play games too.

I knew a guy at work who didn't watch TV by choice.  I'm assuming he still doesn't today (he moved across country so we lost touch).

I watch TV (quite a bit for a contest I love).  I have analog cable, and we just got our 30 day notice that the company is switching to all digital (aka, must pay for a box on every TV).  Since I have 3 TVs, 4 non-pay DVRs - I've had a real hard time justifying paying an extra $20 per cable box to take me back to the 70's...so I've decided to cut the cord.

I live on the edge of a medium/large city and picked up an indoor HD antenna from Home Depot to try it out (have a second on order from Amazon, I figure I'll need 2 anyway).  I was super impressed - I got all the standard channes - CBS, FOX, NBC, ABC, CW, PBS - plus a few others - and the signal was way better than cable (learned it's because the HD signal is not compressed like cable signals are).  I inventoried the cable stations/shows I watch and found most air shows on Hulu or Netflix or on their website.  The handful that don't I can get season passes via iTunes or Amazon to watch which are about $20-$30 per show (full season), but there's only 2-3 like that.

I also looked into building a Raspberry Pi XBMC streamer (basically an open source version of an Apple TV or Roku).  I was amazed how must streaming you can get from this open source option, including live sports streams from the countries the games are being played in.

I figure between the antennas (which I'll hook up to where my cable feed comes into my house so very little wiring needed), and my Apple TV, Raspberry Pi box - I'll be set.

So, when analog drops, I'll b
