At the moment, I think I'd continue working, but that's mostly just cause I'm young and haven't really done much in my life.  That or I might keep up with my job but buy the things I need to learn more about my dream job.

If I won 5 million dollars and actually received the full 5 million I would quit my job. i do not like what I do. the environment is horrible and employees are treated poorly. It is ridiculous.

However, I have significant health problems so I could run through that money fairly quickly just on drugs costs without my jobs insurance...

I would probably work part time, just to have somewhere to go when I was not traveling. LOL   I would also pay off all my debt and invest in something that would pay me.  I would like the money to work for me.   I've had it with the working for the money!   LOL

Yes, I would retire if I won 5 mil, but I wouldn't live a lavish life. I would buy a better home and car but I'd still shop at the same stores and whatnot. I desire financial security without having to get up and go to a 9 til 5....I'll probably start my own business with the money though so it could be past down to the next generation.

If I won 5 million dollars, I would definitely quit work if I had a job.  Unless you are the owner of a business, then it's something to do everyday, but If you are working for other A$$holes, then I would be running fast away from the job.

I enjoyed working for a lot of years; I'm retired now but we have so many projects around the house to do that I can work all day any day I feel like it. lol  Like today, I scraped the popcorn ceiling in one of the bathrooms.  It took a while but I was pleased with the results.  My son-in-law is going to remud, refloat or whatever so I can paint where I removed the wallpaper.  He's also going to something with the ceramic tile in that bathroom and then I'll redo the floor.  Like I said, we have so many projects to do and it's gonna take us a while to get them all done cause we're not as fast as we used to be.  lol  If I won a bunch of money, I'd still want to stay active but I'd sure do some traveling.

I do not like working.  But I am blessed to be overworked from the standpoint of being able to afford my family.  I actually worry if I am not working twelve hours a day much less fifteen to sixteen!  Five million dollars would be so nice.  I think it would take a year to retrain my mind that it wasn't really necessary to work so much. Paying for the kid's school would be priority number one. taking a few trips with the family would be number two. and then I would take a year to decompress, travel and take a few classes in subjects that I have always had an interest in.
