I think online dating is OK, but it is not for everyone though, but you have to be careful who you talk too because people nowadays always don't say who they are or they lie for whatever reason. Some of them may end up being crazy as well, you have some good in online dating then you have the bad of it...you just have to protect yourself

I don't think their is a problem with online dating. Especially if someone isn't being a "catfish" to the other person they are talking too.

You get this off line as well.   Even if you can see the person, they aren't always what they appear to be, they lie, they manipulate.....

My sister met her husband through online dating site. They've been married for almost 7 years now.

I am a one year widow - and people keep telling me I should sign up for an online dating site but I say I'm not sure if I am even ready to date and if I were ready would rather just meet someone - I guess online dating is the thing but I don't know.  By the way those members who said no because their husbands wouldn't approve brought a smile to my face.  Very cute comment.

The concept sounds totally cool! It would take away some of the fear factor. I am a fairly good looking guy, in good shape, somewhat witty but I was terrified to talk to the opposite sex.  I have since then gotten married and have no fears but I feel that online dating could have made dating so much easier.  I have a newly divorced, wealthy friend who has tried it and he is able to set the parameters so that he is meeting someone of his own socio-economic status. He has been on a bunch of different coffee dates and has made some good friends out of his adventures. His ex-wife is bummed that she kicked him out...now that she sees how popular he is.  He dated one girl that, Unbeknownst to him, was a childhood friend of his ex-wife's!
