I don't go grocery shopping during the last week of the month, and try to clear my pantry and fridge, and if necessary buy only the needed one or two items. I save some $$ by doing this.

Firstly, I reuse everything that I can as many times as I can. I'm very careful about not wasting anything too. I get as much use out of various things as I can and don't typically spend money on things that I don't really need. I just try to be as efficient with things as possible.

I cut my expense by couponing and by shopping for items that are on sale or clearance and trying to match it up with a coupon.

I walk to work, cut the cable..only use Netflix and watch local programming via antenna, bring lunch to work once in awhile, recycle cans/bottle, only have cell phone..no landline.

For me cut down on showers which cuts down on electricy, water and gas used. Fixing leaks cuts down on water to. There are these little foam like incerts u can get at any hardware store to put in back of any outlet plug which would cut down on electricy escaping that is a reality some can escape through and not be used . Turn off lights when your not using the a room & try to do laundry all at once instead of in parts if u can. Setting the thermostat at 69-72 & not to much higher will also help

By paying off the bills and not not making anymore.  You have to have some restraint set in motion for your spending behavior.

To get rid of expenses I put $10 to $20 dollars away a week and the smallest bill when I reach that amount I pay it off. and I do that until all the expenses are gone. as far as everything else I buy only what is needed for the household and no more. Unless I need them the only time I go clothes shopping is at Christmas. Food shopping I don't use coupons but go to stores that have the same products for a lesser price. the main thing I don't have credit cards because they can get out of hand and I don't want that bill every month.
