Oh yeah. My favorite story is the day I decided, while cleaning up the kitchen, to clean some of the handles on my cabinets. My husband suggested that the job would be a lot more effectively done if I let him remove all the handles so that I could wash them. So we did. Then when I was having him put them back on the cabinets...yes, this did mean he could use power tools....he discovered that one of the cabinet doors was not straight. More power tools....yippee!. But then the straightening of the door required a shim. More power tools to cut the shim. Then the screw for the hinge flew behind the refrigerator. We moved the refrigerator to get the screw and discovered a black mold spot on the carpet under the fridge. So, we had to lift the carpet to find out how much moisture there was. He decided that it could not have been water from the fridge and that the pipes in the wall must be leaking. More power tools! He cut a hole in the wall to check the pipes. No, no leak. Then we had to fix the hole in the wall and then put everything back in place and clean up the drywall dust, the paint and the sawdust. Geezy cow. I just wanted to remove a few finger prints from the cabinet door handle. So , yeah. It happens.
