Yeah, for using online, the pre-paid cards are the best.
For some reason they don't get hacked.  At least I've
never heard of any getting hacked.

I have a pre paid credit card just for shopping online. I think its a safe way to go because it prevents someone that you don't know from getting into you accounts.

That depends.  Some prepaid cards cannot be reloaded so if you need to return something and they want to just credit it back to your card it is an issue.  I feel safer with the ones thru the bank.  If you did not make the charge then you are not responsible for it.  Doesn't matter if they find who done it or not.  And if you read the TOS it tells you that.  If you talk to somebody at the bank they may not volunteer that info because they want you to pay.  They want YOU to lose the money not them.

I've always used just the regular card through my bank. That's scary about your account though. Glad they found who did it.

I don't think there is such a thing as a "safe" credit card cause hackers are way to smart today. But, thank goodness the banks are on their toes and they find out before you do!!!!

I think that good too.  But I don't want it one thing that you have to pay a fee for monthly service.  I don't shop offend so I don't think that worth it.

I use a prepaid card which is re-loadable, and has a virtual card feature I use for shopping online. If needed, I can cancel one virtual card and create another.

I have a debit card from PayPal. If there is not enough money in my PayPal account, they use my primary funding source to cover it.

I receive a lot of gift cards for gifts throughout the year, I probably should save those for use online.

I use my credit cards online & have not had a problem ever  *knock on wood*

I have had my credit card number stolen from using a Chevron gas pump ATM & the number was copied & distributed to a mass amount of people within hours, & who charged it up.  Thankfully the bank caught it fairly quickly & I didn't have to pay anything.

I probably should use a prepaid one for only online. Seems these days it's only a matter of time before it happens to all of us at some time.  Why risk it......

Hmmm.  I am not familiar with the virtual card feature.  I just use my regular credit card and have never had any issues.  But there are very few places I shop online.  I know some people will use a card any where.
I do not trust a mom n pop online shop.
