I only have a single step, so that's not an issue for me.  If I did have stairs it would depend how the snow piled up.  Typically I'll start digging in on the shallow ends and work my way into the deeper stuff.  Based on how the snow drifted on the stairs would determine my starting point.

I would, too! You wouldn't have to re-shovel any steps that way! :thumbsup:

I start at the bottom and shoot the snow off the side of the steps.  That way I have a non-slippery surface to stand on.  I wouldn't start at the top, because the top step is covered with snow and I would have to stand it.  However, I don't think its worth arguing about.

I never did shovel snow so wouldn't know how to - there's no snow where I live. But I assume you would start at the top, depending on the layout.

I guess if I thought about it, I should start at the top, but usually end up at the bottom first...
