I do think min wage needs to increase, but shooting up to over $10 an hour might be a bit much. I say increase it to around $8-$8.50 an hour for a year or two then go up another 25 to 50 cents each year till they get it to a decent amount.

I think it is great for those who get to keep there jobs. I think a company that has a number of minimum scale wage workers will try to reduce their workforce.

It will hurt the small business owner if minimum wage is that high. They are trying to make a living as well.
Most small business have Family working for them their wages are family earned. Yes some do not.

I dont think it really means anything because it is so inflated... companies will just pass the cost on to consumers making that 10.10 not go as far...
Yes because they did this for the last 40 year that wages were raised right. Cost have been passed regardless and yet no minimum raise.

It will close down businesses, and forget about food or clothes.  Restaurants will not hire.  I have 2 jobs and one of them will probably be done because of this.

I don't agree with the minimum wage raise.  I really don't understand what Obama and his administration are doing... You can't just throw around lofty ideas and then implement them without having a real plan.  I think a lot of us are still reeling from Obamacare and the awful consequences of that; the principle behind it was attractive to people, but no one really cared to look into what the actual law said.  I think the same thing is happening with this ridiculous minimum wage suggestion.

Increasing in any increments sounds nice otherwise, but if businesses might hire less (or layoff people) and prices rise in response then this doesn't add too much benefit.

I think it fair too.  The cost of living is increasing pretty high so should raise min. wages for people can pay for it.

I think it is a good idea. It is hard to get by now a days.  I have had jobs making under $10 per hour and its tough.
