Kashi has a diet cracker out right now that tastes good and has fiber also. I think special K does too. There are also lots of cracker chips out there. There's a lot more to choose from lately.

When I am dieting, and it does happen to me, I like the crunch. Just the soda crackers.

I've come to the conclusion that the whole "diet" brand marketing is a complete smoke screen.  People actually believe buying the "diet" version of a product is somehow "healthier" for you.  Yes, the "diet" product might be 20 or 30 calories less than the regular version (PER SERVING), but often the fillers added in the diet products to make them "taste" good are worse than the original version.  Also people tend to delude themselves that because it's "diet", they can eat more (wrong!).  That's why a lot of people end up gaining rather than losing weight eating all that "diet" stuff.

If one's goal is to lose weight, it would be healthier to eat the regular version then do jumping jacks (or running in place, or run up and down stairs) during commercials of your favorite one hour show.  Doing these for a minute burns about 10 calories per minute...so during an average 4 minute commercial break, you'll burn 30-40 calories.  Do that for the typical 5 commercial breaks, and you'll burn 150-200 calories.  More than makes up for those extra 30 calories per serving in the non-diet versions of products.

Something to think about...

:) In my younger days, I went on a diet. Bought a box of diet cookies and ate the whole box for lunch. Didn't lose any weight.  :(
