Ive decided to take this discussion over to a new topic to appease those that may wanna rant it shouldnt be in a political discussion even tho my 1st comment was a scripture dealing with governement/ruling.

We all tend to get off topic time to time and its no big deal if it happens innocently.

Lets look at some biblical figures that sinned before God.Moses,David,the apostle Paul just to name a few.Their hearts were right with God yet they were punished for their imperfections.

So if the WT society erred with dates that went against bible prophecy as in Jesus saying only the father knows the end you can say Satan,mans imperfection,worshipers only with a day in mind maybe were causes.Was God allowing this to happen to test their love?Did God allow Satan to mistreat Jesus and Job so they would prove their love?

This i know,even the smallest error by a JW or the society brings out blood to the sharks out there.They look for that.They want nothing to do with the good and the love they show.To me what the apostle Paul did in killing others was a lot worse than making a wrong prediction.But again the supporters of satan only need a small loophole to jump out like a cougar and go get them.

Who are we to question why God tested Abraham to kill his son?Or why HE finds blood sacred....or why being gay is wrong...these are HIS laws.

A landlord decides if you can have a pet or dont smoke before you rent his room.Jehovah OWNS the universe.HE has the right to decide whats good and bad.

And the best thing about it is we arent programmed to do as HE wishes.Otherwise LOVE wouldnt exist and God is love and he expects his creation to LOVE HIM!!

An act of love to send HIS begotten son Jesus to be treated like a criminal and die a humiliating agonizing death like he did shows just what LOVE is.You wont find this being taught in any other religeon.Thats where discernment comes in.That 2 edged sword the bible carrys shows just who we are and how we feel about what God has done for the human race.

I don't think it was just a test for love but a way of life and dedication to God.  There is more to this topic.  God is love but he gave us all free will.  We are all sinners that is why God allowed Jesus to die for us it was Jesus choice to die for mankind and give us the chance to dedicate our life to God.

Bob1 thank you for your reply.Yes Jesus proved under more trying conditions Adam could have loved and obeyed God and there was NO flaw in Gods creation of A&E.Also Job and a host of others proved their integrity too.

I just put this topic up and wanted to have a last say on the few here that love to look for cracks in the dyke and help bring the walls down.I would suggest they look to the rest of Christendom and see how eventually God will destroy her for mixing and meddling with the ruler of darkness of this world.

It's not the error in the 1914 prophecy that is the concern, it's the fact they redefined it's meaning using hindsight of the actual events of 1914 and for some reason people want to believe this was prophetic. The criticism of the JW’s is their need to use fear to promote their message. This is why they use Revelations and the end of the days narrative.

Hawkeye i hear more nit-picking about what JWs do compared to priests molesting children or bishops glorifying war.

I am going to research this more for you but points i was trying to make were supporters of God in the bible that sinned..and were punished for it but Jehovah found favor with their heart conditions.Satan rules this world and manis imperfect....that should be considered.

The apostles argued among themselves in the beginning who was the greatest.Judas was an apostle and committed a sin there was no forgivness for.I am trying to use logic and common sense from bible if the WT erred with dates and changed things why?God has not revealed prophecys sometimes until the right time too.But i give u my word i will research this more and answer u best i can.

I know what you mean by fear.The bible says many took no note when Noah preached...its the same today.

Fear of Jehovah is the beginning of wisdom.If your heart discerns that it isnt a dreaded fear either...its a fear of dis-pleasing him as you felt if you dis-obeyed your dad.

Well yeah. A religion based upon failed prophecies is a lot of blood in the pool. It's obvious critics would point that out since it shows the group-in-question is wrong (especially since it's hypocritical that the same book they preach tells people to stone false prophets to death). It's also important to see how the religion copes with the error- will they come out and say they were incorrect and apologize for wasting everyone's time and money, or will they try readjust their results to keep it going and act like they never failed? In the case of the JWs, it's just constant readjustments for over 100 years now.

Common sense would tell you that you can't keep promoting the world will end in 1914 once it became 1915. The message changed out of necessity.

I'd have a looooooot of questions, but I wouldn't be rude if some god came down and made all of mankinds problems disappear. But the way you view the future is mythological, so the idea here cannot be taken seriously. Since your religion is based upon false claims and inaccuracies and you have no proof of these vague and questionable future prophecies taking place, there's no reason to go any further.
