I grasp the scripture. It goes directly against the Watchtowers original 1914 prophecy. That's what you are failing to grasp.

Here's another end-of-the-world prophecy from them if you care to listen

I assure you the only reason i remind people that man cannot govern himself successfully apart from God is because the main theme of the bible is Gods kingdom with his son Jesus as king and they will soon put an end to this satanic system.

Some may just want to understand that and i thank you for helping me witness that to them.

Your religion was founded upon false prophecies and it's extremely easy to prove for anyone who's interested. Hawkeye has already proven that you're trying to avoid the truth at all costs. Since you're so bent on trying to convert people on this forum and completely willing to disregard any factual information that presents problems with your reasoning, others like me will be there to warn these individuals of the cult-like mentality and false prophecies this religion has marked on it. You may see it as mean behavior, but it's only fair these individuals hear both sides and decide which makes more sense.

So what about all the Xians who claim the European Union is planning to put a chip into citizens' wrists, without which they will be unable to buy food or clothing or shelter etc.... which President Obama must be behind somehow, right? ::)

Is that directed at me? If so, I have no idea how you came to that conclusion. I don't view one race of people having more humility than others. It varies person to person.

Let's see if we can steer this back to its original course:

I can't believe all these Conservatives who say President Obama needs to be impeached for all the terrible stuff that's going on.

They're saying he "wants to be a dictator" and all other kinds of slander (or 'libel' or 'pretended mind-reading'). Pretty-much everything he says publicly is merely consensus of the 'best way to go from here' (generally 'the lesser of several evils').

I thought Conservatives BELIEVED IN the system---that--while there ARE flawed people scattered throughout the system--the system is designed to hammer-out those flaws before ideas come to fruition!

What's Up with That?

'Intention' is where you can talk about 'God' & 'the Devil' & 'your alien overlords from Gallifrey' etc., because each is just as much "what you imagine" as the other!

And 'common characteristics of races' have little to do with "credit given to President Obama" except as he IS a human-being (and thus MUST be blood-linked with SOME race or other).

Yesterday, I realized why my 'Bible-thumping hick'-friends firmly believe that Obama made this- or that terrible government-thing happen ... the same reason George Orwell's 1984-people needed Big Brother---'a face' to focus their "feelings" upon.

Having a God who 'sits in a throne & hears my prayers & answers them in His big beardy goodness' is much more calming than a God who 'exists as a ghost from another dimension whose material-existence is therefore like the flickering of a candle.'

Same thing with Satan ... much easier to focus my hate upon 'some red-skinned creature with horns & a pointy-beard' than upon 'my own urge to judge those better-off or worse-off than me.'

Government shouldn't even have the POWER to "play games with our lives," they are just there to settle differences between us citizens!

So why is it that many Christians want the GOV to stop abortions or intrude in women lives about their body when it comes to choices about abortions, it is none of their business!

Sort of going off topic again, esp. since abortion wasn't really an issue during President Obama's administration... But since you brought it up, the issue with abortion is a definition of when life begins... Many Christians feel that life begins at conception, so abortion would be essentially a murder of a defenseless human. Opponents of this view would argue that the fetus isn't a true human until after birth (or at least until the fetus could survive outside of the womb). It is a debate over which rights should be protected: the right to life for the unborn fetus or the right to private property for the woman (or the right to the woman's life in the case where an abortion would be the medical option for saving her own life). In some ways, this debate is very similar to some of the debates over slavery. If slaves are viewed as property, then what business is it for the government to say how the master should handle their own piece of property. However, if slaves are looked at as being humans, then they too have certain innate rights which the act of slavery violates.

I do think that since abortion is still fairly subjective (eg even disregarding religious views but rather looking at the various definitions of death in which "medical death" is deemed as the moment when there is no more brain activity, it's possible to classify life as when brain activity begins, which occurs towards the end of the 1st trimester of pregnancy), I think it would have been better not settled at the Supreme Court level, but rather at the state level where the legal definitions of murder are made.

Face the reality of a human life

“As regards anyone wise,” says the Bible, “his eyes are in his head; but the stupid one is walking on in sheer darkness.”—Ecclesiastes 2:14.
A truly wise woman does not shut her eyes to reality and ‘walk in the dark,’ so to speak. She uses the ‘eyes in her head,’ which in effect serve her intellectual powers. This enables her accurately to evaluate the consequences of her actions. Thus, in contrast with one who closes her eyes to the reality of what is taking place in her womb, the wise woman acts with heartfelt compassion to protect her living embryo.

So why is it that many Christians want the GOV to stop abortions or intrude in women lives about their body when it comes to choices about abortions, it is none of their business!

Stephanie was right that it's a non-topic since "abortion" wasn't really an issue in the Obama administration, but This is the basis of my 'problem with Giving Credit to Obama' ... Obama can't make an impregnated woman decide one way or the other, not any more than ANY OTHER PERSON can.

The reason they go to 'the gov' is because it's the same as any other 'group of individuals who agree on things,' except THIS group's agreements are tacitly 'seconded' by each-&-every-citizen (even if one learns of an agreement they don't like) ... sort of a 'condition of citizenship'

If the gov makes an agreement against abortion (or gay-marriage or bestiality or bear-wrestling or mask-wearing or miscegenation), the law-abiding citizens are then under contract---not to participate in it (whew!), but to support its enforcement.
