Tip for Hair Cut

How much do you normally tip for hair cut?!
10%? 15%? or 20%?

I got my hair cut yesterday and I ended up giving 20%.

I am very lucky on that point.  I have a step-daughter who is very talented and does my hair for me.  So, I guess if the question was really to the tip...well, then the answer is coming to my place for a good dinner and a good night of cards or something.

I usually tip about 20%, the same as I tip in restaurants.

We tip depending on how good a job they do on our hair.  Our how every much is left in the change we get back.

I also cut my own hair. I use a Wahl grooming razor.

I used to cut my own hair and my daughters too but I sure wouldn't try it now!  As I've gotten older I don't seem to have the ability to cut on the back of my head so I quit even trying.  If I go to one of those walk-in places that charge $8 I'll tip $2 just because I can give a $10 and be on my way.  If I go to the place that charges $9 I still just do the $10 so is only a $1 tip.  If I go to the girl that does my highlights I'll tip better just because she doesn't charge me regular price on highlights lol.  Think thats because my hair is pretty thin and above my shoulders lengthwise.

Depends on how much you pay for the haircut and exactly what you get done.

Not chatting about how much hair to cut off. We were traveling to downtown and I seen a grand opening sign hair cuts for the family for $5.00 each.  I told him what I saw and said get your hair cut now. We stopped right there for his hair cut lol.

I usually tip 20%.  I have gone to the same girl for a few years and love her cuts.  When she puts highlights in, I always tip more than 20% because I figure she is taking more time with me, so is probably losing money that she could make cutting another person. (does that make sense)?

Depends......

20% for a regular haircut
$10.00 flat for a haircut/coloring/highlights, because 20% of that is over $30 dollars & that is an insane tip.

My barber charges 10 bucks for a haircut and I give him a 2 dollar tip. That's 20%.
