Judaism Vs. Islam at the (Mythological) Roots

I've heard that the split between Islam & Judaism is where Abraham's family was split between Ishmael & Isaac.

Ishmael was born to Abram when Sarai his wife allowed him to impregnate her slave Hagar (in order to continue Abram's family-line). When Ishmael was born, Hagar became 'hoighty-toighty' to Sarai (and/or Sarai resented that she was 'useless' to Abram) and so Sarai kicked Hagar out.

But His Angel promised her better than God promised Abram if she 'submit herself.' It also promised that her son would be 'hated by many nations' (just like Jesus' disciples in their First Commission).

Then God said He would make kings of Sarai's (as-yet-not-conceived) seed, though He also tells Abraham that Ishmael will father twelve princes.

We have record that Abraham lifted Ishmael to God. And Ishmael was made every-bit-as-Jewish as any Christian is through Jesus!

The way I see it now, Islam is ... I don't know if this means 'better than Judaism,' but it's 'the same as Christianity (except that Christianity focuses on Jesus-as-doorman, while the best Islam has is Muhammad-as-example).'

Makes Judaism better, once one's hopes for Heaven are made worthless ... I guess; you guess?
