One Scripture Passage that Contradicts Itself!

Zecharaiah 8:19 reads:

Thus saith the Lord of hosts; The fast of the fourth month, and the fast of the fifth, and the fast of the seventh, and the fast of the tenth, shall be to the house of Judah joy and gladness, and cheerful feasts; therefore love the truth and peace.

Judah is to understand "fasts" as 'joyful, glad, cheerful feasts'? What kind of "truth" is that?

(Or am I rushing to judgement, not considering that the original Hebrew means something more like 'the fasts shall be turned into joyful, glad, cheerful feasts'?)

A "fast" is 'NOT eating.' A "feast" is 'LOTS OF eating.' If you see 'NOT eating' and call it 'LOTS OF eating,' are you telling the "truth"?
