Why Do 'AC Nielsen'-Surveys Ask for Your Date-of-Birth AND Your Age?

If you are really paying attention, a lot of surveys ask the same question in different ways.  This is not only to verify your answers, but to test that you are paying attention to the survey, eliminate those who just click through, and answering with your honest opinions.  It's all just a part of the way they work.
