Friday the 13th

Came true for me. Got up nice and early. Spilled my coffee. Came into the office to start the computer....no power! Called Dell.  Because my warranty ran out, they would only help if I paid $59.95. Otherwise, I could go online to self-diagnose. Huh? NO POWER, no way to go online! How smart are these people?

All day racked my brain to figure out why and tried everything I could to no avail. Called the guy who used to fix/set up my computer. Got the answering machine. In the meantime, wrapped up some hamburger in portion size packages (we always buy bulk) and caught up on couponing. Due to backache, I could only carry 10 lb. of hamburger at a time and the handles on the bag broke, with the 5 packages of hamburger going all over the ground on the way to the freezer in the garage. Hubby had to be called to pick them up. Upright freezer door wouldn't shut (it's a real old one) and had a heck of a time rearranging the shelves with food to make everything fit. Computer guy finally called at 3 p.m.  and finally came at 4:30 and in 2 seconds, my computer was up and running! Really weird. All he did was pull the power supply cord, shut off the surge protector, wait 60 seconds, plug the cord back in, and turn on the surge protector.

Next Friday 13, I'm staying in bed!!!!!

Sorry you had so many problems. I personally didn't have any but my husband and high school senior did. Right after she got to school the had to evac. because there was an electrical fire in the band room so the ended up standing outside in the cold for almost an hour and because the senior wing is right there at the band room she could smell the smoke during the day. My husband PM's AC's/Hvac at the college he works at and one of the towers went down.

We're people sometimes have ups and downs days. I sometimes felt good one morning and right after school off I'm kind of feeling crumby... same as my man. Everyone have good days and bad days. So what can we do? Well I quest we just have to deal with it don't you think?

Well this year we tried to turn friday the 13th into good luck.. So we planned it so we went to go get the lotto tickets on the 13th hour!. Well we got one but the second one we didn't get because the machine was down.. So i went ahead and got the dog food and it was on sale.. Regularly 17.99 was now 12.99.. I didn't know weather to take that as good luck or bad luck.. But she got her lotto ticket and i got the dog food on sale then we went to lunch.. We are hopping that we hit the lotto! That will be nice! A day of bad luck and you strike the good luck? How cool is that! It was a good day all in all.. The ice actually melted.. Few idiots on the road but not as much.. Took that also as a good sign . Crossing my fingers and toes and eyes!

i was about to go out yesterday, but I just got to peak at the calander and it read friday the 13th, I said whoa, I stayed indoors all day, but nothing really extraordinary happened to me, in fact nothing really ever happened to me on any friday the 13th's, it must be a hoax

Sorry to hear about your bad luck.  I've always liked and had good luck on Friday the 13th, because the 13th is my birthday and I've always had a nice day.  Everything seems to go my way on that day.  I wasn't born on Friday, but I love the 13th!

the day is what you make it I consider Friday the 13th my lucky day. my dishes were done for me. hubby did all my errands today he said it was my day off. he said to go relax and do something fun. so I did. I can't wait til the next Friday the 13th. So think positive and your day will go the way you want. Good luck.

I had no problems or occurrences on Friday the 13th.  Everything went as normal, just another day for me.  Sorry to hear of the ones who had problems on that day.

I have had some pretty bad Friday the 13th days in the past...but I have to say this year was okay. Had a pretty average day.

Friday the 13th can mean bad luck for anyone. I do not let it bother me too much. I just keep things in life simple.

Wow, that's a lot of stuff to happen. On any day not just Friday the 13th. I got season 1 of Tales from the Crypt and that day seemed very appropriate to sit and watch it
