Is This Passage of Psalms a Prophecy? What's Your Interpretation?

Before you 'knee-jerk' some response like "Psalms is just praising the LORD; no 'prophecy' involved," just look at what Psalm 127 has to say:

⁴As arrows are in the hand of a mighty man; so are children of the youth. ⁵... they shall speak with the enemies in the gate.

I interpret that as 'good reason to teach your children well': because they will be the ones who represent you against the "enemies at the gate."

I think that's enough to meditate on. What's your reaction to that interpretation?

I think that's a good interpretation.I think also it points to the fact that children are to be seen as a blessing and not a burden.
As to whether Psalms can be seen as prophetic,absolutely.Psalm 22 (Which Christ quoted the beginning of on the cross: "My God, my God, why have you forsaken me?") is a vivid description of Christ's crucifixion written centuries before the method was popularized by the Romans.

Several other prophecies are also to be found.The prophecy concerning Judas being replaced as an Apostle (mentioned in the Book of Acts) can be found in Psalm 69:25 and Psalm 109:8
