How crumby to receive that sort of bad news right before the holidays.  One thing I had learned during a rough patch in my life was that struggling to hold onto some things just wasn't worth the stress.  After building a "dream home." my life flip flopped and life happened.  The dream house ended up in a short sale.  My 3 kids and I went from living in a 3500 sq. ft home 4 bedrooms.  3 baths etc.. huge monster house.. . . to a 2 bedroom 1 bathroom apartment.  We are more happy now than we ever were before.  Of course there are always financial woe's... but coming up with $600 rent is a whole lot less stressful than $2400 housepayment.  I understand some people are attached to there homes and giving them up is painful.  But after one who has been through it - there is light at the end of the tunnel.  Good luck!

  Sorry to hear that and hope it will at least last until after the holidays.  It is rough but I don't know that this employment trend is going to end any time soon.  I guess we have to be thankful for what we get although believe me I understand what you are going through.  It is a struggle every month to make ends meet.

It sucks when you can't find a job in your area. Have you thought of baby sitting to make extra money or doing something creative like grocery shopping for an elderly person? or sometimes sitting with an elderly person who doesn't want to be alone or even house cleaning? I wish you luck in finding work.
