Would you rather work or go to school?
« on: December 05, 2013, 09:12:43 am »
I think I would rather be in school. I mean sometimes I think it would be nice to work because one ill have a job a fear I have after graduating college of not getting a job, second ill be getting paid, third hopefully when I go home I will not have to do any work, with school you go to class and outside of class you have papers, projects, homework, studying, etc but work most jobs you go home and your done. Yet you have more responsibilities work can also be stressful and I love the college life I love learning meeting people and making my schedule just not outside work stuff basically what about you guys? Work or school?

School, hands down.  So much LESS pressure on you than having to provide for the family  and keep up a home.

At times I wish I could just do niether but lets face it that it not life nor reality. If you want a good life, meaning a home and nice things then you have to work for it. An education will get you a job but lately many graduates are finding it hard to get a job even though they have a degree. So sometimes it is all about you carry yourself and who you know not so much your education or experience sad too say but true.

When I was young my Dad used to say to me the best years of your life were at school. You had no cares, no worries, no bills to pay and everything you do is all about having fun. I remember thinking that I hated school, I didn't like exams and I generally found it really stressful. Then when I started work I realised that, whilst you have to work hard, you get to do the job of your choosing and you get paid for it. I'm not 45 and I never changed my opinion - down with school and up with work!!

I am too old to go back to school,, but i would rather work then be at home. But that is out of  the question with my back.  I really like working in retail and or the restaurant as i got to visit with  a lot of interesting and nice people. ( and some creeps) . So now i work arts and crafts and go to a couple of shows But it is not the same.

When I graduated high school I had a chance to go to college but I have chosen not to because I want to get a job right away.

I'd rather go to school as long as someone else is paying my bills so I don't have to work.

At my age a job would be my choice but in my 20's it was school and I'm thankful I made that choice because I loved my job and it gave me great benefits that I now appreciate.

My choice is for work. Going to school, if its college, means college loans.

I would rather be in school but I also like to eat and sleep in a warm house.  Oh well, there is always retirement!
