Secret Santa

Have you ever been a Secret Santa?  I learned early on with the help of my parents who would contact a local orphanage and see what their greatest need was and I can remeber delivering a pickup truck full of blue jeans that had been sold to my parents for a deeply discounted price.  And the wisdom of my Dad as he told me that we were being a Secret Santa for all these kids who would probably appreciate haveing warm clothing for the winter so me and my big mouth suggested that we get them some coats.  Back to the store and with some more negotiations from my parents we delivered a pickup truck load of coats to the orphanage.  And this tradition has been passed on through me to my children as I know that my daughter is working with the local military groups to promote and work on the Toys for Tots program.

I have never been a secret Santa. I would if I had money to burn. I always felt that the needy should get what they need and want. If I ever win the lottery I will do something special.

If I had the money to do it, I would like to be a Secret Santa.  It is a great idea to do something nice for those less fortunate.

I have been part of Secret Santa for a number of years. Now that I have kids, I have them help pick out toys and items to give. This year, a friend of mine and I are "adopting" a family in need.
