Nice! I just did a few cards quickly as a test. I'll do more after my accuracy is graded. I did read all the instructions, but sometimes there are things I'm just not sure about with business card transcription.

One thing I noticed, it seemed ever now and then, I was served up form that had almost all of the fields filled in, but maybe something had been left out, like a Division or an email address. Sometimes there was something overlooked that I could fill in... other times there was nothing for me to fill in. That I wasn't sure of what to do, so I just hit 'Finish'

Another thing I wondered about on those semi-completed cards, is on some, there were typos or errors on the fields that had been filled in. I'm just hoping that those errors don't ding my accuracy. There was no way to go in and edit the fields that were already filled in.

Anyway, thanks for bringing in new business, and I'm very interested in seeing what my accuracy was. I'll check it out again tomorrow.

Thank you for the feedback.  I'll try to answer your (implied) questions---
1) Regarding accuracy, it's usually visible that your entries have been confirmed within a few minutes.  Besides that, there is no over-arching "accuracy" rating.  The only downside to making a typo or incorrect transcription is that you wont get credited for that particular field.  It's not held against you, and your stats are reset every 24 hours regardless (at 8am Pacific / 11am Eastern -- there's a countdown timer on the bottom of the card transcription page).  In short, you can just transcribe cards whenever you like and you need not worry about having perfect accuracy.  Every member does the same thing (transcribe cards at a fixed reward price) so there isn't really a way to 'reward' or 'punish' good/bad accuracy in the long run.  With that said, if you are abusive or have extremely low accuracy (say under 30% of your fields are accepted as correct) you might get booted off eventually.  But you would have to put some effort into doing that badly 

2) When you're presented with semi-completed cards, you should just confirm that the available fields are correct (or empty if they are not present on the card).  If a field is greyed out, you can safely ignore it.  Greyed-out fields don't give you credit, only fields that you actually type.  Similarly, if there's no "Department" on a card (for example) and you correctly leave that field blank, you would not be paid for that field (since you didn't type anything).  When you get a semi-completed card, you should fill in available fields if they were overlooked, or leave it if everything you can edit is correct, and simply press 'Next' at the bottom.

So, in short - keep at it and don't sweat a small error or irregularity here and there.  It's all part of the program.

I have checked and as of now I have not been able to find the busines card transcription.  Does anyone know where it is?  I have looked on tasks but it don't show up when I click there.

I was working on these Business Card Transcriptions today. I did 166 of them,but only 112 were correct The issue I have is they do not tell you why they were incorrect or what the correct transcription is. I want to get credit if I 'm going to put the work in. The help page is really no help with this.

there kinda of easy you just put information in the right place and your done,i did those yesturday and today they fun i like them.i did alot yesturday and alot today tomarrow is another day for lots more.

After you click on tasks, you will find a tab next to the Crowdflower Tasks tab that says Business Card Transcription.

I was working on these Business Card Transcriptions today. It's possible that some of the transcriptions were still being checked ("Checking" is the header at the top that tells you how many are being checked).  Over time, as they get confirmed, your "Correct entries" count should climb.

I did this for awhile yesterday ... long enough to earn $2 from Fusion Cash.

The Pros:
1.  Easy to do
2.  See some interesting things on the business cards
3.  No additional windows to open and close
4.  Practice typing and 10 key skills
5.  Great way to make extra cash when surveys, videos and other tasks are slow

The Cons:
1.  Some cards are sideways or upside down
2.  I think it is quite sensitive to capitlization and parenthesis etc in phone numbers and marks some entreis incorrect that really should be correct

Thanks for the feedback.  A function to rotate the cards is already in the works.  As for capitalization and punctuation, I believe you are supposed to enter it exactly as shown on the card, even if, for example, it's all lower case (which is not really grammatically correct).  I'll double check on that.

This is my third day doing these cards. They're okay but some cards are very hard to read due to the color or non-color. This offer makes me feel like I have a real job again.  which I haven't had since 2010. The only thing that bothers me is the penny for 10 lines. It's a little low, but I'll keep doing them. Better than going on Facebook and playing games. LOL
