My first turkey actually wasn't too bad. The only thing I didn't do was put butter under the skin so that it would burn. Now I know and will have a jucier turkey.!

Ahhh my first turkey.... I was so nervous and scared because I was dating my ex.  My sister was had just  moved down and he had invited his cousins and friends.  So imagine first time turkey cooker! Especially when he's use to his moms cooking and so was my sister. I must say that my turkey was such a success. I was even surprised and impressed at myself.  Im sure my mom was so proud. Here i thought it was going to be undercooked, not taste right, or too cooked. However, the turkey never came out the same way throughout the years L0L

Cooked my first turkey when i was 11 years old and it turned out pretty darn good. My mom was handy in the next room if i needed advice.  She was laid up with a badly sprained anckle. I felt so prod that she trusted me too do it. Now my sister-in-law cooked her first turkey while i was at her house ( forgot  to take the inside bag out.) Oh lordy her husband came home as we were taking it out of the oven and saw that she had cooked it with the turkey and wanted her to throw it away. Huh little does he know i cooked the new turkey But i carved up the one she cooked also and they ate it all.  Don't mess with the cook

I remember my first turkey.  I called my Mom I don't know how many times that day asking question after question about not just the turkey but all the trimmings too!  I was cooking for my boyfriend (now my husband for 38 years!)  It was just the 2 of us for dinner but I cooked like my Mom always did and she cooked for 6 kids plus her and daddy and sometimes other family members, so you know I had a whole lot of food leftover!  lol  It was too funny but not too bad on taste.
