Where do you live and what time does the sun set post daylight savings time each evening/night.  You can go to a weather website such as intellicast.com to look up the info.

For me in Janesville, Wisconsin the sun will set at 4:42 pm later today -- November 6 which definately is very early and does suck.

I haven't looked that up. I live outside of Dallas, so it would be pretty close to that. I think you may be farther east. That would mean your sunset would be earlier than mine, even though we are in the same time zone. Interesting!

Also being further south will make it later as well.

Here in SE MN, it's getting dark between 4:30 and 5.

Thanks for the replies so far.

The sun rises in the east and sets in the west -- so the further East you are in each time zone (Eastern, Central, Mountain, and Pacific) the earlier evening/P.M. time the sun will set.  The time zones are not geographical symetrical at all either -- some time zones cover a much larger geographic area than others.

Also, further south than sun rises later in the morning/A.M. and sets later in the evening/P.M.

Today, the sun will set at 4:41 pm in Janesville, Wisconsin.

Yes, you can go to Accuweather.com- Enter your City, State information or zip code and you find all your weather info there. Sunset time is 6:50 pm where I live.
