If money grew on trees, how do you think society would react?

How do you think society, or the world would act if money grew on trees? Would it be peaceful, would everyone, be rich, or would things be chaotic? What is your opinion on it?

If money grew on trees, it would be so abundant that it would be worthless. We'd have to change to a new form of currency. It may be a little chaotic for a short period of time, but again, as soon as everyone has that money, there will be no point to it and things will die down.

The way society is right now, there would be utter chaos.  You couldn't get shade in the summer because the trees would  be bare.  When people had picked their trees bare,  they would be looking for somebody else's tree to pick money off.  There is no way that people would think of their fellow neighbor because they would be envious of getting money from the next tree.  People will kill for money now, but thank God there is no such thing.

The value of money would go way down and society would be in even more trouble than it is already.

"Money" or currency is only a measure of a person's (or their family's) worth or value to society. If money grew on trees, then that measure would no longer work, and the economic system would then cease to function... We'd probably just go to some bartering system until a new form of currency was developed.

If money grew on trees, there'd be a LOT of BARE trees out there but, I just bet people everywhere would be taking better care of them, LOL.

Yep, if money grew on trees it would have no more value than the things that fall from trees that we already rake up and burn! Money is only a universally accepted medium of exchange. Money only has a value from 'perception' of said value. Anything could be used as money as long as it is accepted as such.

if money grew on trees, society would a way to diminish the value. we would find something else to replace money because wealthy people want to maintain their status, they need the lower class to stay in their place lower class.

There would still be greed and those that would be too lazy to pick the money off the tree but expect others too do it for them.  It would be worthless anyway the way our ecomeny is right now.

  Too much of a good thing, spoils the brew. There is plenty of money now. Learn how to work with money and have it work for you instead of being its slave.
