Has an officer every stopped you to give you a ticket?

I was stopped once because my muffler had fallen off and it made a very strong sound. He warned me to get it fixed and I did as soon as I had the money. the second time I was stopped it was because I was waiting next to an on ramp and he wanted to know why I was there. I was waiting for my husband he was a truck driver and I had to pick up he check to deposit it so I could send out the bill payments. He sent me to the rest area to wait for him. the third time was because I was young and speeding but he just warned me not to do it again. So for 50 years of driving that is all I have done. How about you?

I was given a speeding ticket years ago.....but it has been a while since I have been pulled over by and officer.....

once, i turned right on red light. He said i did not stop and looked left and right. Thet was empty and quiet street. Ticketed anyway

Oh Yeah!! Back in the days of my youth I was prone to speeding a bit just for fun, never got a ticket for it. Then I got a job as a sales rep and my territory covered 5½ states... needless to say that I almost had to drive faster than the 'Carter mandated' 55mph on Interstates just to make my rounds. Think I got three speeding tickets in a two year period... not good.

I speed all the time on the highway but I never get caught.

Yes, once for speeding and once for another violation and several other times for no ticket just to check things out or thinking I was not driving straight.

I've had about three speeding tickets in my life.

I got stopped a few weeks ago because I did not have my lights on at night.  I had left the square and all the street lights made it where I could see.  Had no idea my lights were off.  He stopped me and gave me a warning.  I forget to tell him I had just bought a new car and did not know how to work all the differents things on it.  Hope everyone has a wonderful day and may God bless each of you and keep you safe.

I have only been stopped by an officer once.

He did not give me a ticket.  He told me to be sure to stay stopped at a stop sign for 3 seconds......not just do a
"California stop".

My wheels have to be completely stopped; no forward motion for 3 seconds.

Yes. My front plate fell off about 2 years ago and I was not ticked until this past July.  If I got a replacement plate before my court date, they'd drop the violation and it would not appear on my record.  I got a new plate, so my driving record is still clean!!

Yes.  I got stopped on night because the officer said I was going over the center line.  I think he thought I was drunk, but I was on a country road that was one curve after another.  Kind of hard to stay in one lane.  The other time I got stopped for speeding because I didn't slow down in time when I came up on a small town.  Both times I only got a warning ticket.

In almost 50 years of driving, I think I have gotten about 4 or 5 speeding tickets.  All of them, I believe, were for not having slowed down quite enough when the speed limit changed.  Haven't gotten any in the past five years.
