I will say that whatever it was you got is most certainly a scam, however, I don't believe it actually came from Pinecone Research.  There are ways to SPOOF e-mail addresses to make them LOOK like they're coming from somewhere in particular when they are actually NOT.  If you still have the email available, you can open up the HEADERS on that email and see the actual address it came from.  I'll bet it wasn't from Pinecone.  I've been a member there for over a year now and never have I received an email that even closely resembles what you received.

PROJECT DUTY #1  My girlfriends got one like that about 5 years ago it was from different one but same instructions the bank said it was a scam.

This is definitely a scam but Pine Cone Research isn't. Check out Survey Police they have great reviews and also note that Pine Cone has been targeted in this scam.

Heack yeah it is. I looked into pinecone before I even filled out that form and saw all those warnings on there web site as well as with the BBB. I did not even sign up for that non-sense.

This is obviously a spoof email. It is NOT from Pinecone.

The email address for Pinecone is scott@pineconeresearch.com. That's the address on every email I've ever gotten from them, in two years.

Pinecone is NOT a scam.

While this email is a scam, Pine Cone Research is a legit company. I have been a member for years and have received payments as well. Like any other internet company out there, it gets targeted by spammers looking to capitalize on their standing.

Wow guys please be aware of these scams never cash checks or deposit in your account.  My grandmother got caught up in a scam like this and her account was flagged and not accessible for over a week while they investigated the check.  Rule of thumb if it seems to good to be true then most of the time its not true.
