Depends on how long the paper is (and the topic).... Then it depends how easy the test subject is.... If it's of my ECET course I would take the test, but if it was Calc 2. test then any paper is better than that

I would rather write a paper than take a test.  When I was in school, I caught headaches trying to remember everything on a test.  For the most part, I passed them, depending on the subject matter.  My favorite subject was math and my least favorite subject was science.

Definitely write a paper - I can write a paper any day of the week and get a good grade but tests are the pits.  Like tashamjoy said you can study a lot and still screw up a test but writing a paper I can always ace.

I would def write a paper over taking a test any day.. Its just less stressful for me to be able to go at my own pace at home!

i would rather take a test because i find that taking test improves your skills while bettering your brain to think.  most test i take i don't study for,  never the less they are common sense.

I would rather take a test. Taking a test, even if I get some questions wrong, is much easier than writing a paper.

I'd rather take a test since a paper always come back with annoying corrections. a test is straight to the point and does not require some kind of poetic flow to impress the person grading it.

Take a test.  I'm a pretty good test taker.

It depends on what the subject is in both cases. If the test material is straightforward enough, I'd prefer that, simply because writing always takes a lot of creative effort on my part.

I would much rather be responsible for a paper than for recalling information that may be on a test.  Its easier to act like a mini-expert and get  it over with in a few pages of text than have to be able to perform expertly enough in the allotted amount of time required for testing.  Unless of course, it is open note and or book...then its being good at researching or being familiar enough with the subject that you can reference fairly quickly.

I would rather write a paper than take a test. You don't always know what is going to be on a test so that is not something you have control over. There's a little more control in writing a paper. Plus, I enjoy doing research and writing anyway. Grammar and spelling have always come easy for me so I generally received good grades on my papers.

Write a paper.  With the paper I can work on it over a ton of days so if I'm not feeling good on Tuesday, I can wait till Thursday to work on it, while with a test, you're stuck with whatever day the test is.  Also, with the paper I have more chance to work on it and perfect it.  With a test, I have that try and that's it.

I would much rather write a paper!!! I actually am pretty good at papers I usually get an A I am not trying to sound conceited I am just shocked!!! I do spend hours and hours on them because I am paranoid plus I want an A. But you can predict a paper better, you can perfect it. With a test you can study and study for hours over tons of material but the one or two part you skip those are on the test and take a 20 point test like don't know 3 or 4 thats it your already doing bad. I wish my grades were not so heavily on tests =( I wish we could do more papers!!! I mean I do a lot of papers but they are worth a lot less unfortunately =(
I think I'd rather just take a test. Im not sure if Im organized enough to write a paper lately.
