Would you rather write a paper or take a test?
« on: October 10, 2013, 09:39:58 am »
I would much rather write a paper!!! I actually am pretty good at papers I usually get an A I am not trying to sound conceited I am just shocked!!! I do spend hours and hours on them because I am paranoid plus I want an A. But you can predict a paper better, you can perfect it. With a test you can study and study for hours over tons of material but the one or two part you skip those are on the test and take a 20 point test like don't know 3 or 4 thats it your already doing bad. I wish my grades were not so heavily on tests =( I wish we could do more papers!!! I mean I do a lot of papers but they are worth a lot less unfortunately =(

I would rather take a test. The reason behind that is for me writing a paper takes time. Not that i don't have time.. I am just a perfectionist when it comes to writing, and drawing. Even when i send out cards i do a first draft first and even before that i brainstorm of what i want to write.. It is a process. My family says i have always been this way. I do not know why i am like that.. I can't even get punctuation right.. But I do love to write. It is a passion. I started that when i was little and even when i was in school and told to write an essay.. I told them i would need more time than they are giving me.. It took me all day to write an actual essay. I wasted so much paper just trying to get it right. A test on the other hand is very simple and easy to do .. All you do is study and even if it is a 100 question test if you studied it shouldn't be to hard. Some people get nervous when they hear the word test. I don't i love tests because even if i get the answers wrong i try to the best of my knowledge. I would take the test over a paper any day because even though i like to write if i was under a certain time limit i would become "rushed" and get nervous.. and probably get nothing on the paper.. Hahaha..

i think i would rather write a paper! so much easier to me --i panic with tests and then i forget all i know! when writing a paper you can research and take time to get it right --

I think I would rather write a paper than take a test. With a test, you never know how it is going to turn out and in that regard, your grade is pretty much hit or miss. But with a paper, you can write a draft and have other people look at it to get suggestions for improvement. Then you can rewrite it to make it even better than before. You don't get such second chances with tests.

i would do a test over paper im good at studing for test. writing a paper is too much work these days. teachers ask for too much sometimes when it comes to a paper and you have to do a lot of thinking as well as too much time

Don't know what level of education you are in, or what you are majoring in, but if you like doing the research and writing there are several degree majors that are practically 95% dependent on that form of 'testing'. History, Literature, Political Science, Economics are some of them. In high schools and lower grades I have noticed that most students are so lacking in the English language and grammatical skills that they simple cannot use that format. Sadly the teachers are no better at it than the students so it pretty much mandates T/F and multiple guess testing. ;D

When I was in school I would rather take a test because I can write but like you said it not much credit. what I do is read what I was suppose to read then write on cards the possible questions and put the answers on the other side. this way I would get at least 90% right or more. I hope this helps you with your studying. flash cards are also good if you do it with another classmate because then you both learn. good luck

Me, I would rather write a paper any time than take a test. I happen to blank out when I'm taking a test.  :BangHead:

I think the paper would be easier for me. I get anxiety taking tests, so I think i could get the information out in a paper instead!!

Take a test, I hate writing. Funny thing is, I used to like it as a kid. Only when I became an adult did I realized I suck at it. LOL
