Love or Lust
« on: June 19, 2009, 11:03:12 am »
People are always using the words I love you like people use toilet paper.

So it makes me think that some people don't know what love really is.

Can you tell me if you know the difference between love and lust?

What do you think? :angry7: :BangHead:  ???

Nice! I think that about sums it up.

I agree that people tend to say love a little too easily sometimes. I guess that's probably why the divorce rate is so high...

Lust is having the love to be with that person at least one time..Love is love to be with that person for the rest of your life..Think about it...

Lust is selfish, love is selfless.

Lust is all about what you want and need, love is about putting the other person above yourself.

its defiantly difficult to determine which one sometimes. ive been in both relationships of lust, and they can tear your heart at once you realize that the whole thing wasnt necessarily fake, but that it actaully held no meaning. i guess lust is different because you dont really feel it. when you think your in "love" very quickly, within a month or so, then its definately lust. ive never thought that you can determine lvoe that quickly.
however now that i am truely in love, engaged, been together two years no fights never broke up, completely in love, i can see how different every lustful realtionship i have been in has been different than this one
i think that lust has its boundaries, but love doesnt because it continues to grow for the entire relationship

just my input, hope this helps

Love is being able to do or say anything with and in front of that person and still being able to look them in the eyes the next morning.
