Knit or Crochet?
« on: October 08, 2013, 04:19:27 pm »
Do you do any handicrafts like knitting, crocheting or quilting? I myself like to knit and crochet while I watch the news on TV each evening to keep my hands busy.

I do not know how to Knit or Crochet, but they both seem like a pretty good and inexpensive hobby/skill to have for those who know how to do it

I Knit and Crochet. Last winter I knitted a hat for every who needed one . this past April and May I crocheted a blanket for each of our great grandsons that were born this year. I have crocheted sweaters and shawls. I also crocheted a blanket for our queen size bed. When my granddaughters were born I knitted them a dress that could fit them until they were at least three years old. I feel very relaxed when do it but I mostly do it in the winter because I stay in more because in the summer we tend to our garden.

I crochet when I have the time. I have been working on crocheting mats for our homeless shelter with plastic bags.

I just started to do a little knitting. It is fun and it keeps me busy while I talk to someone or while I watch tv. I'm knitting a scarf. I'm very slow but I am enjoying it.

I learned how to crochet a few years ago and enjoy it. I also knit do a little cross stitch. It is nice to have something to do while watching TV so I don't eat.

I learned to crochet a long time ago when I was a young married woman.  It was one of the nice things my mother-in-law ever did for me.  (Sorry about that.)  I would love to learn to knit, but I never tried hard enough, I guess.
