I have no idea.... my hair is so dry, I have to use a lot of conditioners.  I guess some people just have naturally oily hair   :dontknow:

Washing hair everyday is not necessarily a bad thing, it just depends on your hair type. My hair looks and acts better when I wash it more often. But for oily hair a clarifying shampoo will help you, don't put any conditioner on your scalp, just the ends of your hair. I can't think of anything else but try searching for other options.

Mine is a strange addition.  I remember watching a documentary on tv where they had a lady with very long hair. They asked her to go for as long as she could without washing to see how the grease factor changed.  I was astonished that whilst her hair initially got greasy, after a time (a very long time) the grease vanished. The professionals claimed that when you wash your hair, you wash all the natual oils out of your hair and if you left it for a longer period of time (I think it was many weeks), you hair will sort itself out! Three months later she had beautiful hair.

Sounds stupid Im sure but what about sprinkling a little baby powder in your hair and brush it through so it doesnt look all white and it should absorb some of the greasy look and it will smell good too.

my wife has the same problem if we don't get her hair washed daily which is very hard to do as I think every here knows she is disabled her hair gets so oily we use sauve clarifying shampoo and  then once a week just to the ends of her hair we use conditioner just a little bit like just a couple of inches from the tips leave it on for a minute then rinse the ends first really well then rinse again

Use a dry shampoo every other day. You can Google it to get more info on the many different brands. In the meantime, you can look at your diet - it may be a factor.

Also, some people naturally produce more oil from their scalp glands. I don't if there's a cure for that or not.

dont wash your hair so much...the oil and stuff from the shampoo is building up and weighing down your hair.   only wash your hair a couple times a week and i can promise it will look alot better.

Home remedies
If you’re ready to try your hand at getting rid of oily hair with a homemade solution, here are a few ideas:

Rinse hair with a mixture of two tablespoons vinegar to one cup water, or one-quarter cup of lemon juice and one cup of water.
Use an alcoholic drink to create a drying effect on the hair. Mix a few tablespoons of alcohol with a cup of water, use to cleanse hair, and then rinse with water.
One-quarter cup of cider vinegar mixed with water can be used to create a spray that targets product build up.
Use diluted tea, which contains an astringent, to rinse your hair.

I agree about the dry shampoo, also you may want to try a shampoo specifically for oily hair that has ingredients that'll strip more oil from your hair than a normal shampoo would.
